citizenM Seattle South Lake Union

citizenM was awesome - do not sleep on that Breakfast Buffet!! I believe when you book through booking, you get some sort of discount on the breakfast - get the breakfast people!! They have local breads, cheeses, the BEST chocolate croissant. It was seriously the best hotel breakfast I have ever experienced. Oh and it includes unlimited espresso drinks! The staff were also all sweet and friendly. I had a very late flight and they were happy to store my luggage for me and let me chill in the lobby for a bit after checking out. The room was small, but cozy and has everything you need. Also, very centralized and good location!

The VERY best part of my experience was the remarkable "Seattle Citizen M Squad" !! From the moment I walked thru the doors and tried to check myself in, Emily came to my rescue and walked me thru the process! On my first full day, I asked Holly for help in ordering me a taxi for the next day and walking directions to the Space Needle that afternoon. When I came back that evening, there was a beautiful little glass vase with liliac tulips and the sweetest card from the "Squad" on the counter in my room welcoming me to Citizen M! Gray was also very kind and so many others that I can't name them all. My room was spectacular and shiny clean with a very comfortable king bed. Will definitely look for Citizen M hotels on my travels!

We arrived for a late check-in and were greeted right away by a friendly staff member who helped us check in electronically. The lobby was super chic, modern, and spotless. The bar was a great surprise the drinks were delicious, and the staff was fantastic, especially Bunnie. She was so hospitable, made amazing drinks, and even gave us some great local recommendations beyond the usual tourist spots. When we got up to the room, it felt cool, cozy, and inviting. The rooms are compact but incredibly well-designed every detail feels intentional. I loved the iPad feature that controls the lights, shades, TV, and even the bathroom lighting. For the size of the room, I honestly didn’t want to leave (which wasn’t exactly the plan for our trip!). Overall, I was so impressed with the vibe, service, and design. I can absolutely see myself staying at CitizenM hotels again wherever I find them they’re just that cool.

Location was great, You could take public transportation to Pikes Place Market by the waterfront. And the cost of the bus for seniors was $1 each way (WOW!) What a deal. You could walk to many other sights , like the Space Needle. Easy to get around. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was fabulous, very gourmet. Great coffee , great pastries, croissants, bakery muffins, Belgian waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, , oatmeal, lox , bagels etc. Fabulous colorful lobby. Great gourmet coffee bar.

Very high tech and whimsical. Would be perfect for a solo traveler, rooms a bit small for a couple. Bed was comfy. Location was decent, quiet at night but not good if you want to walk to good nightlife. Street parking was very easy and available. Easy check in and out process. Public transit very accessible. Nice addition having a little refrigerator.
